	For several years now we have used electronic CHIP timing. This has provided very accurate times and is available during and immediately after the race. The full results will be published on our web site sometime after 2.30pm on race day. You can also see the results on our provider's web site http://www.chipresults.co.uk/ soon after the event. Under UK Athletics rules, the positions are established solely on 'gun time'. This is the time from the start gun to crossing the finish line. We also publish chip time. This is the time from you crossing the start line to crossing the finish line, and accurately reflect the time it has taken you to complete the course. If you arrive at the start late it is possible we will have switched off the timing mat to avoid problems with the later Fun Run start. If this is the case then you will not receive an accurate chip time. The system will record the gun time as the chip time. Please make every effort to be on-time.
